Last week we went for our bi-weekly appointment to have Sarah Mei's platelet count checked. The office staff realized she celebrated her 5th birthday the week before. So while we waited in the office to see the doctor, they gathered the entire staff, including the physicians, to sing Happy Birthday. They also presented Sarah Mei with a present of dress-up jewelry & shoes and a lunch box with an adorable stuffed pony.
I can't say enough about this practice. They make every appointment a homecoming. Sarah Mei actually looks forward to going to her Dr.'s appointments, which considering the fact that she has to get her finger stuck each time, is saying something!!
If you live in the Charlotte area and you need a hematology group...you MUST visit Blume Pediatric Hematology and Oncology Clinic and tell them Sarah Mei sent you:)

This is the staff at Blume. They took time out of their busy patient schedule to sing Happy Birthday and to pose for a photo...even Dr. Hock and Dr. Bryant! They are the BEST!!
